We are deeply grateful to the thousands of donors who have built the Berrien Community Foundation since its inception in 1952. Their gifts, ranging from a few dollars to millions, work to improve the quality of life in Berrien County today and for generations to come.

donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their
intended purposes

of the identity of those serving on the organization’s governing board, and to
expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship
responsibilities

To have access
to the Foundation’s most recent financial statements

To be assured
that their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given

To receive
appropriate and timely acknowledgement and recognition

To be assured
that information about their donation is handled with respect and
confidentiality

To expect that
all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the
donor will be professional in nature

whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization,
or hired solicitors

opportunity to delete their names from Foundation mailing lists, and to be
assured that donor lists will not be sold, rented or exchanged
