Berrien Community Foundation
Acorn 1999 Grants
The Berrien Community Foundation's undesignated grant programs focus on the four target areas of:
  • Nurturing Our Children
  • Building a Spirit of Community/Arts & Culture
  • Encouraging Youth Leadership and Development
  • Lifelong Learning

In addition, grant requests are approved for general grant requests falling outside of the Foundation's targeted areas. These four focus areas were selected to meet the community's most pressing needs. As our society changes, so will the focus of the undesignated grant program, making these dollars some of the most valuable and effective at the Foundation. Following are some examples of how grants help to address our target areas and a listing of grants in each category. Most of the following grants originated from the Foundation's Undesignated and Field of Interest Endowments.
