Berrien Community Foundation wants to give creative teachers a hand! We know that many teachers would like to do extra projects but funding can stand in the way. That's why we are pleased to announce that Golden Acorn Classroom Mini Grants are again available for any school or classroom in Berrien County. The mini grant is for requests up to $500 for a specific program or project.
How to get started:
1. Find a project! (Some examples would include requesting a tree tapping kit for a lesson on maple trees or requesting a lab kit for a geometry lesson.)
2. Get Principal approval - you will be asked to upload a signed letter from your principal as part of the application.
3. Create an account to gain access to the Golden Acorn Classroom Mini Grant online application. (Please write down your login information as we will not be able to retrieve that for you.)
4. Fill out the simple application.
Deadline for grant submission for the first round is February 15 and second round is June 15.
Please note: You should receive a confirmation email after submitting your form. If you do not receive this, please double check you clicked the submit button, then contact us. There may be an issue with the email used to submit the form.
Teachers may recieve one award per calendar year. For example, if you win a mini grant in February you are not eligible to apply in June of that same calendar year.
