The school readiness event focuses on preparing K-12 students for the upcoming school year by giving away backpacks and many school supplies like pencils or pens, markers, notebooks, folders, erasers and pencil bags. BCF will offer backpacks in two sizes suitable for either younger or older students, and each child will have the option to pick out the color bookbag they want! Community resources and a food pantry will also be onsite.

The Berrien Community Foundation is teaming up with Whirlpool Corporation, Frederick S. Upton Foundation and De Groot Family Foundation to make the events possible.
