BCF Grants

Berrien Community Foundation Competitive Grants
Each year the Berrien Community Foundation offers a grant opportunity for non-profit organizations serving Berrien County, Michigan. Grants are for up to $10,000. These grants are supported through our general endowment and Field of Interest Funds. 

Golden Acorn Awards
BCF Competitive Grant recipients from the previous two years are eligible to submit this simple application to be considered for an additional $1,000 and recognition as a Golden Acorn Award winner in the areas of Innovation, Community Improvement, Volunteer Engagement and Overall Excellence. 

Frederick S. Upton Foundation Grants
The Berrien Community Foundation provides grantmaking services for the Frederick S. Upton Foundation. Grant deadlines are March 15, June 15 and October 15 of each year. 

Golden Acorn Classroom Mini-Grants
Twice a year committees review grants of up to $500 to support classroom projects for Berrien County teachers.  

Heart of Cook Grants
The Berrien Community Foundation provides grant services for the Heart of Cook. Grant are reviewed annually with a reception for the winning agencies. 

William Deputy Fund Grants
As the result of a gift from William Deputy, these grants are available annually to government organizations in Harbor Country for projects to benefit their communities. 

Berrien Community Foundation Scholarships
The Berrien Community Foundation provided over $130,000 in scholarships last year. The scholarship program provides academic aid to a wide variety of Berrien County students.
