The classrooms at the Montessori Children's Center are designed for multiple age mixes (birth - 18 months, 18 months - 3 years, 3-6 years, 6-9 years.) This allows the younger students to learn from the older students and the older ones to reinforce what they know by assisting younger students. Students work independently or in small groups, at tables or on mats on the floor. The use of well-known routines and materials reinforces instruction that is practical and tailored to each student's developmental needs.
