Can you give some time to care for Berrien County senior citizens?
Giving comes in many forms. On Giving Tuesday, we need volunteers to give their time to help us pack and wrap 1,100 care kits for our local low-income, homebound senior citizens. Please sign up in the form below!
We ask our volunteers to pick up bags of items and instructions on Giving Tuesday to take home and assemble into wrapped gift boxes that will be delivered to our area seniors. These Senior Care Kits contain basic hygiene items like toothpaste and lotion but also other things like a first aid kit, adult puzzle books and candy.
The Senior Care Kits are then delivered by our friends at Area Agency on Aging and Meals on Wheels.
The Lester & Barbara Page Sr. Endowment Fund at Berrien Community Foundation helps to fund this project along with support from Corewell Health Foundation, Frederick S. Upton Foundation, AEP Cook Nuclear and private donations, and an in-kind donation from Honor Credit Union.
