I lived in Melbourne, Australia for 18 months (my son was born there!)
Give me a snapshot of your work history.
Before joining BCF, I was the Chief Accounting Officer for Strategic Hotels & Resorts, overseeing the accounting, treasury, finance and internal audit functions. I also spent some time working in the private equity industry. I began my career in public accounting as an auditor for Arthur Andersen. I hold a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University and earned my CPA certification.
Give me another snapshot of what it is you do here at BCF.
I help Morgan with the day-to-day finance/accounting responsibilities (primarily managing the accounts payable, grants and gifts transactions, and recording journal entries). I also assist with our annual events like Backpacks For Good and Senior Care Kits, to name a few.
How do you get involved in the community?
I attend fundraisers and donate to various organizations/causes in the area
How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
I enjoy fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, running, skiing, biking and chilling at beach!
What kinds of activities energize you?
I would say running and downhill skiing
What’s something you’ve done, but you’ll never do again?
Work full-time!
What’s your favorite place to eat around here?
Red Arrow Roadhouse in Union Pier
What is the one thing you cannot resist?
CHOCOLATE!
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
Maybe more stressful than weird, but I worked flipping burgers at McDonald’s in high school.
What’s one of your favorite parts of your job?
Working with and getting to know the wonderful people here.

Doing my little part to help BCF accomplish its mission!
