Howard Youth Endowment Program Grant Application

Grant Purpose:

This grant was established by John E. N. and DeDe Howard to support programs for Berrien County youth in St. Joseph, Michigan. Priority consideration will be given to programs that take place within the Howard Facilities located in St. Joseph, MI and the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library.

Howard Facilities Include:

John & Dede Howard Family Trail, John & Dede Howard Ice Arena, John E.N. Howard Band Shell, John & Dede Howard Skate Park, John & Dede Howard Auditorium at St. Joseph High School.

Criteria:

This grant is for nonprofit, school, church or government organizations doing activities for Berrien County youth at a St. Joseph area Howard facility or at the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library. While youth programming at other locations will be considered, priority will be given to programs taking place within the Howard Facilities and the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library.

Deadline: September 15, 2023

To complete your application, provide the following information:

  • Completed Application
  • Budget: Provide a written budget for the project
  • Current Year Operating Budget
  • Audit or 990
  • List of Board of Directors with affiliations
  • Signature Page
