A vintage portrait of Johnny Dodge. The Johnny Dodge Memorial Music Education Fund was established to honor the life and legacy of John “Johnny” Dodge, a lifelong resident of Benton Harbor. His talent and enthusiasm for music touched countless lives in Benton Harbor, where he played a wide range of instruments including electric and acoustic guitar, banjo, keyboard and ukulele. For over 70 years, he was the lead guitarist in several local bands and duos.

This fund is dedicated to supporting Benton Harbor Area Schools students, enriching the cultural fabric of the community and ensuring that Johnny’s passion for music continues to inspire future generations so they, too, can experience the transformative power of music.
