Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra

The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra is proud to present our Lake Michigan Youth Orchestra (LMYO); young student musicians performing in the spring and fall. LMYO members have the opportunity each year to perform side-by-side with our professional SMSO musicians at a special concert during the SMSO’s Mainstage Season. Preparation for this concert allows students to work alongside professional musicians who offer mentorship and provide feedback, culminating in a spectacular performance for our community. LMYO members receive training and guidance from our outstanding LMYO conductors over the course of ten-week blocks of rehearsals and tutoring each season at local area schools.
