Many of our patients are currently receiving treatment for cancer (or a related illness) and have a high level of need but are not eligible for in-home skilled nursing per health insurance/Medicare. Our nurses provide compassionate skilled nursing care based on the physicians' treatment plan and patient needs. Our loan closet has a large variety of durable medical equipment, medical supplies, comfort items, nutrition (Boost, Ensure, etc.) and items specific for women such as wigs, turbans, scarves, breast prostheses, mastectomy bras, and other related items. Items are either on loan or given out. Those with cancer may use the items for as long as needed. Additionally, we loan out durable medical equipment to anyone in the community with any diagnosis for short term use (3 months and under). Our adult support group is open to patients, families, and caregivers for any type of cancer and includes women and men. The art based support group is designed for children and families impacted by cancer and utilizes art as an expression of feelings. All of our services are at no cost.
