Origionally established in 1989 by the Mercy Memorial Medical Center Foundation, now the Spectrum Health Lakeland Foundation, this fund provides support for health-related educational programs.
Programs include an outreach program which teaches at-risk patients how to care for themselves and/or their children along with helping them get the prescriptions and medical attention they need.
Funds for the Population Health Deparment are used for obesity initiatives through Be Healthy Berrien.
