The Harbor Country Museum of History + Rail (formerly known as New Buffalo Railroad Museum) is located on the grounds of what was once the largest trainyard in SW Michigan!

Founded in 1989, the Museum is now home to exhibits and collections recalling New Buffalo's proud heritage as a railroad hub. The rail line behind the Museum still carries CSX freight trains through the stanchions of one of the original coal towers. Visitors can stroll through a Chessie Box Car and Troop Pullman Sleeper Car and operate a hand-crafted model train layout on what New Buffalo may have looked like in the 1920's.

Donating to the New Buffalo Railroad Museum ensures that admission stays free and helps keep the Museum up and running.
