Salute the Troops Playground Fund

The Salute the Troops Playground is more than a place for children to play — it will be a community-built tribute to the veterans who defended our freedoms.

Imagine children climbing aboard a Navy ship-shaped play structure, racing through an obstacle course, and exploring playground features inspired by all five branches of the military. As they play, they’ll see flags, plaques and engraved pavers honoring local heroes by name. Families will be able to gather in a peaceful memorial garden nearby, reflecting on the sacrifices of those who served.

This playground is about more than slides and swings. It’s about teaching children gratitude, respect and the importance of service. It’s about creating a space where play and purpose come together.

The Greater Bridgman Area Chamber and Growth Alliance, Bridgman American Legion Post 331 and City of Bridgman are partnering to bring this playground to the community, which will be located on the legion's property.
